Addison had surgery on August 25th just shy of 7 months old. She had a bowel intussuseption which is where the bowel lymph nodes swelled up and her body tried to excrete them. This caused her bowel to get mangled and twisted up. They did an air enima to try to correct this...85% of these cases can be corrected this way. It didn't work for Addison...she had to go under the knife. They ended up cutting out 30 cm. of her intestines, the top part of her bowel, and her appendix. They then resected the healthy parts back together. She is such a trooper to go through surgery at such a young age.
